God says I am Sealed with the Holy Spirit

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Eph 4:30

He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.   1Th 4:8

Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. 1Co 12:3

Sealed, when I think of sealed, I think of a Ziplock bag. Everything we buy now days can be resealed with the simple slide of the fingers on this nifty little plastic square that can make a package close.  The seal is not reliable, by no means. With just enough force or pressure, I can easily rip that gadget off into my hand and throw it away. The promise of sealing lost and the bag eventually becoming useless and needs to be thrown out. Another failed promise and another lost cause. Is this the type of seal the Holy Spirit puts on me when I choose to believe in God? Does the force of Satan and one bad day rip of my square of salvation and cast it to the ground?

Thank God, that is not the type of sealed that God sees when He looks at us. Sealed in the Greek language means to stamp, with a signet or private mark for security and preservation. You see when we accept God, He places His seal upon us. That seal is something secret and private that only he can see. It is stamped on us and will not come off. That seal does not just show him that we are his, but it also secures our soul, and preserves it until its time to enter into His gates. A seal that protects us and marks us as belonging to Him.

No one can take this seal from us. Satan cannot send enough arrows, turmoil, or chaos for it to fall away. It is not made with manmade hands or from material that will disintegrate over time. It is a Holy Seal, that is secret to God so that no one or nothing can take it away. A permanent mark upon our soul that radiates who we belong to! God sees us as Sealed and belonging to Him, and there is nothing that can take that away or change that!
