What is acceptance?

Trials in life and long spaces of time where your prayers seem to go unanswered brings about the inevitable struggle of acceptance. The process of acceptance is not one and done kind of action. Acceptance is a life long course of action that comes with moments of grief, questions, anger, sorrow, and necessary spaces of time to cry. The crying is a place of letting go. Releasing all the pent up emotions. Expressing outwardly and upwardly your surrender of deep truth. A place of healing.

Seasons of acceptance will be continually necessary. Questions arise, emotions evolve, and when you least expect it the release will come. Let it! Let go! Let go of all your disappointment. All the hurt and pain. Let go of the old life, the one you planned. The one you expected. Let the tears fall and grieve. Just like grief, acceptance doesn’t have a time line. Sometimes in comes unexpectedly and sometimes it builds till you don’t have a choice but to let go. They both have the gift of tears. As God collects those tears, he cherishes them and watches those bottles fill up with growth, healing, with never ending mercy, compassion, and grace.

Grace comes with promises. The promise that it all comes in seasons. The promise it wont last forever. The promise that the sorrow will not consume you. The promise the progression of your acceptance will lead to a journey that ends with Joys unspeakable. A Life filled with fruits unexpected and a faith that leads to sight unimaginable. A life to be proud of.

Live your truth, let the tears come, and see what unspeakable opportunities and blessings lay ahead.

When life seems overwhelming and you cant go on. Come back to this. Let the questions come, let the truth of your emotions, fears, and worries go and let the tears fall as a gift of your surrender to acceptance!
